A Rose

A Rose

"What's for the snack sack today?" I asked with less enthusiasm today than usual. I was feeling sluggish this morning and not in the mood for drawing.

We looked it up, but when he picked it I said, "No," explaining my mood.

"Okay," he said, "How about flowers?"

"Those are easy."

"Maybe two roses and two sunflowers maybe."

Ignoring his full request, I did a search for "rose drawing" and he picked this one.

"Two of those and two sunflowers maybe," he said hopefully.

"No," I said dryly, "I only have time to do one rose."

My concentration held strong on this one and we were both very pleased with the outcome despite my sour mood.
